The market upheaval of the last few years leaves a multitude of unanswered questions about the nature, scale and pace of the now much anticipated recovery. The encouraging signs of an upturn over the past couple of months look uncannily like the self-same signals of revival in confidence which emerged in the summer of 1993. By the following summer we were back into a further 2 years of falling values.
