IPD launched a benchmarking and portfolio analysis service in the USA in early 2004, following a successful pilot study carried out during 2003.

The service, run from our USA office situated in Chicago, provides a detailed peer group performance measurement, attribution analysis, and benchmarking service. Our USA team consists of:

At present we are concentrating on developing the Portfolio Analysis and Benchmarking service in the USA and are not publishing a separate US real estate index. The National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) currently provides an appraisal based index of USA real estate performance.
