Recognising the importance of environmental concerns, IPD has developed the Environment Code to help organisations deliver high quality environmental performance information about their occupied real estate.
Launched in February 2008, the Code sets a new global standard for measuring the environmental performance of buildings. Since then the Code has gone from strength to strength, receiving some 5,000 downloads across 75 countries. To further support its global application, a French version was launched in Paris during the summer (receiving a further 1,000 downloads), with a German version launched recently in Frankfurt.
Through the use of common terminology, the Code enables property executives to compare the environmental performance of buildings anywhere in the world. It is applicable to a broad range of property types from retail shops and offices to hospitals, universities, hotels and airports. Visit our FAQ page for more information.
