Property making history: turning points and points of no return
The UK property investment market is going through a time of turmoil. After an unprecedented period of rising values and growing enthusiasm for the asset class, the music has now stopped. But is this a short-term correction of an over-exuberant market, or the start of a sea change?
The 18th IPD/IPF Property Investment Conference examines UK property in its current state of flux, from both long-term and short-term perspectives.
Day one of the conference takes a long term view, examining trends in the economic and financial environment for property, in demand from those businesses which occupy property, and — perhaps most importantly — in performance. We will be encouraging all our speakers to set these structural trends in widest global context, as UK property has now long ceased to be an island.
Day two will focus on the state of the market at the time of the conference, and ask how things are likely to change in the immediate future. The day’s opening speaker will discuss the challenges of operating a property investment business in such an uncertain period, and will be followed by an in-depth panel discussion - of market conditions and prospects - led by top rank property players.
But whether taking the long or short view, our delegates will be sure to appreciate thought-provoking debates, relevant discussions, and new insights to take away with them.
